About the area

Invergarry is ideally situated as a central base for touring

There are ample walks available, some directly from your chalet or cottage to suit the experienced walker and the beginner. Mountain, riverside and forest walks are nearby, and we are about 3 miles from the Great Glen Way .

For the cyclist, we are 2 miles from the Great Glen cycle route.

For the fisherman, there are countless rivers and lochs to fish in (you may require a permit for some) Tackle shop, rod hire and permits available in Spean Bridge.

For the golfer, there are three courses available within 25miles - Fort Augustus , Spean Bridge and Fort William.

There are two pony trekking centres within easy reach - Torlundy and Drumnadrochit

Admire the beauty of Lochaber from the steam train, Fort William to Mallaig, or ride in a gondola up Aonach Mhor near Ben Nevis.

Wildlife 

From your chalet, or whilst walking locally, you might be lucky enough to see the Pine martens, Roe Deer or Red Deer . The Woodpecker comes regularly to feed at your bird table.

Most days you will see the Buzzard, and a variety of the smaller birds, including Siskins, Wagtails, Chaffinches, Stonechats, Tree Creepers, Dunnocks, Goldfinch, Bullfinch, and Robins.
